Deputy Principals Message

Dearest families,

Term 3 has started off so busy, with so many events taking place! Our teachers and students have been putting in so much effort, so I would like to thank each and every one of them for their enthusiasm and eagerness.

Congratulations to our Foundation students who have reached their 100 day milestone at school! They are now 100 days smarter

A big thank you to all staff involved in school events: Athletics day (especially Mr. Mehmet for his organisation), intercampus Olympiads, eid festival, science week (a special thank you to Ms Sozer) and

Reading with your child at home

As we are midway through the year, we really want our students to continue developing their literacy skills. Reading, no matter how old, is crucial in learning. Evidence suggests that children who read for enjoyment every day not only perform better in reading tests than those who don’t, but also develop a broader vocabulary, increased general knowledge and a better understanding of other cultures. In fact, reading for pleasure is more likely to

determine whether a child does well at school than their social or economic background.

What difference can I make as a parent?

You can make a huge difference! Parents are the most important educators in a child’s life – even more important than their teachers – and it’s never too early or late, to start reading together.
